I would like to discuss this controversial topic. Spanking Children. Maybe most of us don't have kids. However, I think it’s very important for us, because one day in the future we’ll have kids ((in sha’a Allah)). We live in an atmosphere full of things that can intervene in raising children such as technology, media…etc. Raising children and discipline are really related together. Because sometimes kids make mistakes and misbehave so, their parents have to teach them what’s right and wrong. Therefore, sometimes parents need to punish their kids. The question is what is the most effective method. There are many methods of discipline. One of them is Spanking. I would like to talk about Spanking because it’s illegal in Canada !! J
As I mentioned spanking is illegal in Canada; however many people use spanking at least not in front of people or at public areas. Spanking could be useful or harmful depends on how people use it. Some people misunderstand the meaning of spanking. Actually, they think they love their kids but, they hurt them. Spanking could be effective at good way under two conditions. First, it must not be harmful. Second, people have to tell their kids why they have been spanking. If people follow these two conditions, I think spanking could be useful.
My parents had been spanking me many times but, It doesn’t mean I was bad boy kkkk J. Now answer this question telling us your opinion.
Do you think spanking is good way especially in this generation full of Technology, Media, and Internet?

ReplyDeleteI will answer your question but i know that the spank is very bad and unacceptable behavior from any one espcialy the parents even if the thier children are like DEMONS (^_^,) i was a demon girl befor !!
but still the spank is unacceptable way to raise kids never..
( NEVER EVER SPANK YOUR CHILDREN )it will effected on thier psychological even if we are in this generation, so what !!!

Obviously, understanding is the basic. When I said in this generation, I mean it's totally different than last generations. Now there are many many things can determine some children's personality such as friends, movies, Internet...etc

Spank N0o0o, never you should not do that with your children, because that unpolit behaviour and i beleive of that children see , childern do. So we have to be a good role modle for them in the life.

By love and tolerance. And when we try to make a relationship of friendship.I mean friendship with children I think it will help us to understand them more. Also it will helps to figure out what is the right and good way should we use to make our children to be the best. Moreover, friendship with children it will make them to learn from us the right way and to effect them to do the good things we want them to do.

I think we should talk to them. Listen to them with care. Direct them to the right way.
If all that things doesn't work with them then you can use ( Spank ) :D *,*

This is a great topic. I agree with a lot of the other students that spanking is unacceptable in all situations. There is always another way to deal with a child who is misbehaving. My favourite way is "time-out". If a child is being naughty, they can be put in the corner and stay there until they realise they have been bad. Hmmmm . . . maybe I should do "time-outs" with EAP students . . . . :-)
